Women in data and AI: opportunity needs support
On page 35, 74% of the people surveyed—roughly three in four—said they felt included and respected, whatever their gender. But only 37%—fewer than four in ten—felt their employer’s work to improve gender equality was making a difference.
In simple terms: feeling welcome is important, but people also want fair chances to grow and succeed. These figures tell us how people felt, not whether their employer’s actions worked in practice.
The report also shows interest in learning how to lead, getting advice from someone with experience (mentoring), and working with someone who helps you develop your skills (coaching)—not just learning technical skills.

Our take · Humantra-AI
People need more than access to AI: they need time to learn, support and a fair chance to grow. Our beginner-friendly workshops welcome questions and help people practise safely. Training is one part of this—it cannot replace fair pay, manageable workloads or a respectful workplace.
